Enlarging the original cased opening between the kitchen and the dining room allowed this space to work better for the clients while still maintaining the historic charm of the home.
Stained wooden cabinetry and honed-granite countertops, as well as reproduction lighting and hardware contribute to the historic feel the homeowners wanted.
A new desk area and command center was added to the space to minimize clutter and chaos in other areas of the home. Additionally, a new door into the front room was created to ensure ease of flow throughout the first floor.
The original space was closed off from the rest of the house and lacked efficiency.
