ASHLAND MUDROOM + DROP ZONE
A welcoming mudroom was created by enclosing a former back stoop.
A row of eye-catching hooks gives everyone a place to store their gear.
The custom cabinets are painted a subtle khaki color and the natural baskets provide storage. Whimsical hardware adds a playful touch.
A combination drop zone/command center is just beyond the mudroom and acts as an additional layer of entry. Hand-blocked wallpaper on the ceiling and a star-shaped light fixture keeps things interesting.
The original exterior door was relocated and the area just beyond this space was enclosed to accommodate the new mudroom.
