GRAND KITCHEN

A contemporary mix of natural wood, white, and bright blue reflects the young, modern couple that reside in this historic bungalow.

A new galley-style layout maximizes the efficiency of the space while a wallpapered nook adds a punch of pattern and serves as a mini-mudroom just inside the back door.

Opposite the sink, a wall of appliances integrates all the modern amenities the original kitchen lacked including double ovens and a microwave drawer.

Moving and enlarging the cased opening between the kitchen and the dining room allowed for better site lines and more function in the kitchen.

Removing the eat-in area allowed for the long expanse of cabinets in the previous image. Relocating the old pantry cabinet and then reimagining the space into a small mudroom nook gave the back entry space more function and purpose.
