MERRIAM PARK KITCHEN

As part of a whole-home remodel, the layout of this kitchen was reconfigured to enhance the function and aesthetic of the space.

Eliminating a swing door and creating a large cased opening between the kitchen and the dining room allowed this space to work better for the clients while still maintaining the historic charm of the home. A small drop-zone or butler’s pantry space was included between the two spaces.

A custom, table-style island anchors the center of the space and provides casual seating.

The opposite end of the kitchen houses a built-in refrigerator, appliance garage and small breakfast bar.

The layout prior to the remodel did not make optimum use of the space and did not flow with the style of the historic home.
